I may be getting my hands on a very cheap or even free E28 518i

The diff has gone bang. What other vehicles could be scavenged for a replacement diff?

E30 325i will have a useable ratio or an E34 520i/518i.

output flanges and rear diff plate Lee (unless the 4 pot e28s happen to have different driveshaft flanges which i doubt.)
