You're right, there's something wrong, it's an e39 in the e30 section!

I didn't watch much of it as it just seemed like a normal average jo having a go at hanging the back end out, but he made me nervous watching him almost lose the slides when he was trying to collect it up, i just had visions of him binning it into the armco and thought, what's the point really.
Kudos to him for having a go though

impressive... but not that impressive.
If all it takes to impress you is people not crashing, you must have a whale of a time driving to the shops... Do you get out and congratulate people for getting around corners without hitting things?

I never said I could do better. I dont drift in car parks, I prefer airfields. Even there I do a very poor impression of someone drifting.
Does someone with any level of talent at something you cant do instantly impress you then? He's not very good, so its not very impressive.
His exits from each drift are very jerky and dont look entirely controlled, he doesnt do any high speed drifts, and its p*ssing it down, he's in a high power car, so what I see in that video doesnt impress me much.
Why so many people have a problem with my opinion is beyond me. But as ever, someone says something you dont like so you try your best to belittle them. Keep up the good work jon.

I didnt slag it off, I commented on what I think makes it not that impressive.
The video was posted up for opinions to be given. Mine is that its impressive, but not that impressive.

Opinions are like arseholes ........ everyone has one
Personally the lap entertained me. The reason why? I have yet to see a drifter do this at the ring for a whole lap. Is he any good at it? Who knows, but he is better than me

sideways on purpose though?
Impressive in a different way... bloody quick. But hardly comparable to a video of someone drifting the ring.

Didn't someone say something about the esp still being engaged?? That would explain the jerky correct and lack of fish tail?
I don't think I'd take an e39 (If I owned one) on a track, yet alone try drifting it!

Bloody quick indeed...the guy holds the record for the fastest lap ever in a 956 at 6 min 11.munky30 wrote:sideways on purpose though?
I dunno....looked like he was hanging the rear out to speed up his corner exit.....you don't drive a car like that accidentally and get away with it.

Considering the lenghts of the straights at the ring i fail to see how you could in fact drift a whole lap.

Quite possibly not the first time he's drifted around this track. Perhaps he has produced more challenging laps when the camera was not there?
