This is an awful lot of car for the money!!!

Wonder how much E46 M3's will drop when the E92 comes onto the second hand market.

Very nice.

Depreciation is a real bummer, I know a guy who's had an 840 from new. It's a little scruffy, but he said the dealer offered him 7500 for it

Old big BMWs or big cars generally have huge depreation in value.
Today you can pick up an XJ40 for less that two pairs of Nike Trainers, and you should tell the guy who bought it brand new 15 years ago when he gave the check to the Jaguar salesman

Thats one cheap super saloon. Not much you can buy for £10,000 could beat that for all round ability.

Uber fast, comfy and reliable.

fast yes, comfy yes reliable maybe if you keep spending on it these cars cost a fortune to fix and don't have the best reputation for reliability. yes its a great deal but an M5 is not something to be entered into lightly.

Agreed!

One owner from new and it had a new engine after 98k miles. So the one owner wore the engine out... how much other stuff is worn out? Big suspension repair bills in the near future I'd warrant...

I don't think I'd pay that little for an E39 M5 right now.

link aint working for me but from reading the thread its an M5

What price is it at?

Going off what Toby wrote in PPC a couple of months ago I wouldnt get an M5 unless it had been looked after and was proven with FBMWSH.

Lot of bang for your buck, but lot to cost when they go bang also
