Car is an e36 that uses a wire throttle. Well a few times the throttle almost sticks, not sure if its tthe right term but instead of idling at 750rpm it idles at 1100 rpm before dropping down when the throttle is next touched. I think the cable needs to be adjusted, (the car has ITB's being an M3 and all), but whats the correct way to do this?

I hate to say it but this needs a full diagnostic dude, if the TBW body is failing it may leave you stranded one day.
you could remove the TB and clean it out internally but thats the limit of DIY on those.
I have full diagnostics in the workshop if you're south london/kent/essex dude
