hi guys,

my friend is being a loser and not wanting to come to a track day because of tyre costs. I suggested he buys a spare set of rear wheels. what sizes would be suitable so I can send him ebay hunting :)

cheers

My dad had some 285's IIRC on the back of his Z4 alpina. Tell him to stop being a pussy!

My dad did a track day and the tyres did not wear bad at all (GSD3's) and they have a good 6000miles under there belt, with plenty of 'spirited' driving.

Cheers mate. That was taken at the petrol station after we'd been out for a bit of a drive :)

You can see it's wet and I had the 195s on the back that evening :)

Taken the same night:

hmm, i kinda get what your friend is saying, i wouldnt track my car with my 17" wheels. i would slap on my old bottle tops or get a set of 15". Just cheaper to run , if you plan to do more trackdays.
Its easy to call someone a loser/pussy and spend their money when its not coming out of your own pocket.

Easy mate - This is a good friend I've known for years. Calling him a loser is a joke and I mentioned it here because it's EXACTLY what I said to his face.

Point is he wants to track his car but not on his expensive road tyres so sent him a list ebay wheels that would fit - I asked the question so I could try and find more wheels for him.
