Just wondering if you guys now the best sites for M3's [info, forums etc]- I did do a quick search but didn't find much [reckon a E36 M3 cab could be next on the cards]?

Yep just like that, cheers dude. Got anymore, post them up guys :D

Although I aint buying a new car for a bit, I always like doing my research - at the moment, my choices looking like this;
- If I don't wanna get a big loan, I reckon I'm gonna get me a VR6 Corrado.
- Up to £15k an E36 M3 cab or an EVO6.
- Above £15k an EVO6 TME, EVO8 MR or EVO9 FQ

What do you think...such a hard choice :?

I'd stay away from a Corrado unless it's G60. Vr6 sucks puppy dogs willies

Why is that bud, the G60 is a slower car [Evo mag got the VR6 as hitting 60 in 6.2secs]?

You won't need £15k for an E36 M3 Cabbie.

IIRC, the vr6 is a heavy thirsty turd. The g60 responds better to tuning. IIRC Corrados have their share of leccy faults? Plus FWD wrongness!

What about an E46 330i or ci or csi (whatever the fricking letters are!)

Yeah I been looking at a bunch on the net today and they appear to be around the £10k mark really, though I'd pay top wack for a low-mile near perfect example.

330i isn't far from the m3 in performance terms.

Booty has a e46 cabby, loves it too. Looks good.

An E46 330i will just be to slow. If I'm paying over £10k on a car, it's gotta be speedy. I could pick up a good EVO6 for about £12k and that will hit 60 in 4.4secs!!!

They are horrible looking and very council!!! Plus the 5,000 mile service bills, about £400 a go, perhaps more? They're very expensive to run, plus you'd be close to that unknown age where the electrics may start doing weird things.

3.2 Evo engine is a little less durable than the 3.0 non-evo.

Nah, I don't want an old Porker [the only Porsche I want is a 993 turbo and a good one is still £40k+] and although I would love a 350Z, I'd always want the brand-new 309bhp version in the bright bright orange [though there is a nice 53plate Z near me for £18k - with 19s and a sweet Nismo kit].

Reckon it's gonna be damn hard to find a concours condition estroril blue E36 M3 evo though right [gonna see what I can find at Gaydon this Sunday - though I bet I find the perfect one and I aint ready to buy yet]?

That is a joke right, sure their high gearing makes them feel faster lower down but in 0 - 100 stakes M3 owns even the E9X 330 thats pushing 270 bhp and the M3 Evo's still kill the twin turbo version of it.

I'm not talking top trumps. I mean in the real world of day to day driving. I've yet to see a road where I can legally time my 0-100. What would be the difference in retail cost?

As far as jokes go, I never said 'knock knock' or introduced myself as 'Rosc0PColtrane-Comedian'
