Ooh i like!
If you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay?
Im after a cheapish car because every thime i go near the 335 it hits me on the head with my wallet and runs off with it.
I was fancying one of these.
Not 3.5 obviously.

No offence, the 5's don't seem to hold value like the 3's.

I wouldnt like to say, i cant keep track of values, some go for pennys, others go through the roof.
It looks tidy though!

Good colour too.

It's still an M30 though mate, I had an E28 528i years ago, and it was QUICK.
Not a 3.5 I know, but would still sit well in my 318 Touring... hint hint...

Yeah, maybe im being a bit hasty, ive never actually driven anything with a 2.8 M30 but i bet it would bw a torquey beast.

Torquey over about 2.5k RPM, mine was anyway.
F*ck all until then... Had a few scarey moments nailing it from standstill into smallish gaps... nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, SH*T...
Mine had the 3-speed auto (early X reg), at 40mph, hitting kickdown put it into 1st gear and put you in the boot. Brilliant fun.
Yours manual is it Spook? Guess you'd not go for auto but I may be wrong...

528i's are okay but really don't suit an auto as they only really come alive over 3000 rpm. That looks like a sweet car. It needs a 30mm drop and the red stripe removing. The TRX's are evil in the wet so go easy!

How sexy is that? I reckon the 28's get more appealing the older they get.

E28
ARE UNDER RATED IMHO
i ve had 3 525e, and kept the best one as my daily london runner it glides over the humps , q in traffic all day and returns 25 to 28 mpg , when it rusts away it will live on in e30
always on the look out for e28s

e28's are getting more popular and ergo more expensive and its easy to see why; they look great. The handling on them needs sorting though. A 528 is a nice quick car with a manual box. I would love one but the days of real bargains are coming to an end.

Agree with you there. They've gone past that stage of looking just plain old fashioned and now look a very classy old skool motor. They're just so well proportioned. There's a mint 525e running round Norwich at the moment that looks just lovely. A nice one is a real head turner.

took it for a little spin today, its as smooth as you like, i felt like lord of the manor driving it, its even got an obc and a full toolkit, i can feel some deep dish rims coming on pretty swift, i just love cars with four headlights, iknow some early bmws look cooler but they are out of my price range, thanks for the comments lads
