For future reference, the horizontal spokes on the E36 wheel slope slightly downwards. The E30/E34 spokes are straighter.

Just to put a spanner in the works, these are also fitted to an E34 5 series, but fit the fine spline on a later E28, i have one on mine

yup, could be e34, they have a slightly larger diameter than the e30 version but the e34 does still fit an e30.

Well to throw a spanner in the works my e28 tech1 wheel (off of a 1986 c reg) will not fit on my e30. The e30 spline is larger.
I am hoping it will fit a e34 as I am just about to flog it someone with a e34. I wont do if I think it wont fit.

I wouldn't want to steer you wrong, i thought that there are differences in whether the MTEC 1 has course or fine teeth on the splines, i am affraid that is as much as i know. The spline change is between early and late cars, or so i thought

Same here, I dont get it, basically if it doesnt fit a e30 it probably wont fit a e34 either, grrrr.
Maybe my car had a early rack fitted at some point.
