Looks quite tasty (though not a patch on an E30 of course):

How can they describe it as a 135i when it 'only' has a 3 litre though? :?

Looks nice too.

Too right! This bit puzzles me though: "The driven rear wheels are bolted to a five-link suspension set-up, and you even spec your 135i in M-Sport trim for a firmer ride. But take heed, drift monkeys - there's no diff. " :? winkeye

Confused me too :?

It will be bought by people who have to much money burning a hole in their pocket anyway.

what a waste of time and money.

No way that they could do an M version- M1 belongs on one type of car!

if they are saying £40000 for an M sepec 1 series, then thats enough to save most every m20b20 on these isles!

e90 e91 and e92 335i's are also "only" a 3 litre. They added the 5 because it's a twin turbo. They did the same thing with the South African 745i. This was infact a turbo charged 3.5 litre.

Hideous. That back end is something else! Hmmm... 3 series coupe that looks nice with decent room in the back, or 1 series coupe that has hit every stick as it fell out of the ugly tree and only has rear accomodation for Douglas Bader. BMW's designers and marketing need a public flogging for that mess. The dilution of a great brand continues...

i like it.

looks way better than the curent 3 series coupe, and size and proportion wise it's probably about as close to an e30 as bmw are likely to get.

3 litre, twin turbo 6pot in a neat, compact coupe body. sounds great to me!
cheers,

harry

Extract from http://www.europeancarweb.com/tech/tech ... index.html

"In the 1990s, BMW phased out the limited-slip differential in all but their M cars as part of their stated goal to replace mechanical systems with electronics. The theory is that dynamic stability control (DSC)--BMW's marketing name for traction control--takes the functional place of the traditional limited slip differential on low-traction surfaces. "
