A friend of mine can re set the air bag on the e46 323 but BMW will not give him the code is there anyone who knows what it is ?

The air bag needs to be reset on a e46 323i v reg after the cable snaped under the seat.
I have taken to my mate who can reset the air bag if he knows the code.
He used to work at elms but bmw will not give him this code.
Its going to cost me an arm and a leg if I have to take it to bmw
Didnt have air bags when I worked at bmw back in the good old days when you could buy a new e30

park up next to the dealership. run around to the workshop out the back. grab the attention of the nearest techy. slip him a tenner to reset your airbag light. everyone is happy!!
