lol, not sure if this is worth writing

get it.

if you´re only after a reasonable runabout with a few mod cons and a stress free drive, get it.

the handling on mine is good, and i base that on very little... other than the fact that my previous held road well

the compact has the same rear end susp. wise as an E30, but lacks the stabiliser bar so it gets a bit twitchy over manhole covers,

inside is just like home from home really, its an E30 with e36 switches and instrument cluster! they are light, and even though a 1.6 can still shift. although you won´t be leaving anyone behind for long ;)

rear brakes are drums, front brakes are solid discs, the disc setup can be swapped for the generic e36 front assembaly to give you vented if you feel u need it.

the rear isnt such an easy task, and the trailing arms need to be swapped about for it to be wort the time taken.

M43b16 is a pretty strong engine, its got a timing chain, no belt so a tensioner change every 60k is good enough.
the shell and chassis are good, no jacking points to worry about and the door connectors are as solid as u like

2200 is a lot though, esp. for a 96´er. get one after the facelift at 97 if poss. they look alittle better
