Hi all.
I've been meaning to get stuck into this forum for ages ... in fact i registered long ago, then "lost" the forum when i changed pc. :(

My bmw history started back in 1994 with a 1982 e28 520i, which i thrashed/blew up/fixed for 5 years, then after i sold it in 1999 i moved onto a 1985 e28 525e which i've now owned for 8 years.
Also i aquired a very nice low mileage example of a 1988 e32 730i back in 2003 which i still have today.
Also i had a dabble in 2002 in the hot-hatch area when i bought a 1989 citroen ax (680kg stripped out thank you very much) running a very high revving 132bhp 1.4 litre engine which i built up myself (proper power to weight ratio!!) ... that has recently been sold to a very happy new owner.
Am i boring you ... it gets better ...

A year ago i bought a 1988 325i coupe which was basically a rolling wreck with 6 months tax and test ... not the usual sort of car i'd buy but it was so cheap i thought i'd give it a go!!
After 6 months i found i couldn't blow it up (trust me, i tried) ... but to put the car back into my idea of "good condition" isn't cost efficient, so thats going under the grinder this weekend.

I may be looking for an auto E30 touring in the autumn, to replace my E28, this will quickly be modified to the same specification as my 525e, with stupidly low gearing, eta bottom end, either a 731 or 885 head (and i'll drill the steam holes  ) plus a hot cam, chip ... all the usual stuff that can be done easily to the eta engines.

Anyway, nuff said ... i'll be lurking. 8)
