i was just wondering- seeing as you can use the 2.5 inlet manifold etc on a 2.8 to get more power-
is there any simple mods similar to get more power from a early 2.5m50?
thanks

Need to be careful trying to remap those as the lambda sensor can just adjust the fuelling to suit - it sniffs the extra fuel and leans it off again. There isn't a lot to do on these - on the single Vanos engines you can fit the US M3 cams and maybe do a bit of headwork, but that's about it.
A 328i or 330i M54 short motor will do the trick though.

the 330i e46 block? sounds interesting
how much power can you get with that? does it increase the cc to 3L? what if you fitted US m3 cams and a 330 bottom end?

Sorry to highjack the thread but is this the same for the E30's with lambda sensor and catalyst.
