I have come from an E30 and over to an E36 (please don't kill me)
But don't find the car to be as light or chuckable as an E30 so want to reduce its weight, to improve acceleration also.
So far I have thought of removing:
Vadar seats x 2 & Replace with bucket seats
Rear seat
Spare wheel
Boot carpet
Stock exhaust ---> DTM exhaust
^ How much should the above save, 120kg? also what other non-reversible mod's can be done?
If I remove sound insulation,
Reducing 3 series weight

120 kg is a lot and i dont think that list will add up to that.youd probably save about 20 kg on the front seats maybe about 15kg on the rear. spare wheel will weigh about 15 kg.i reckon youd probably only save about 60kg's all together.how far do you want to go though, is it only as a track car or do you want to keep some of the refinements for road use?
