My "new" 323 convertible has unfortunately had tints put in.

Strange choice realy as the owner is not the bling type (middle aged, no big rims etc.).

Anyway, bottom line is I don't like thim. To me it don't look right!.

Thing is, whats the easiest way to remove the tints. Razor blade? Thinners? heating the glass and picking / peeling? I don't want to go to the point of replacement glass as I don't want to mess around with the comfort settings where the glass drops slightly to clear the hood as per coupes.

Anyone done anything similar. Any ideas?

No, he had them done. In any case, whether factory of not they still look shite! They've GOT to go.

Its not a 2 min job to remove tints but I found this the easiest way:

First you need to peel the film off which and be tricky and very annoying.
This will leave you with a window covered in glue. With advice from a chemical expert at my work, the best thing to remove the glue is Rain X as it contains a certain chemical and also use the back of a sponge to help break it up.
Its best to do one window at a time as you dont want to be driving around with a window covered in glue.

I had to do this on my Fiat Stilo (worst car ever) due to a crackdown by the police round my way and it does work.

peal the film off and go down to the local hand car wash and ask them to wipe clean your windows with tar and glue remover! works a treat and probably charge you about 2 quid!

AND IT WORKS :woohoo: ! a treat. I've got the film off all 4 windows and the glue off the drivers window. It's currently very smeary but some autoglym windo polish should sort that.
Thanks for all the tips guys.

Read this too late...my tip would of been if you can get the glass out simply run hot water out of the tap on your bath over the film and peel, works great and leaves nothing behind :)
