Posting for a friend, he's gotten ahold of a 5 series Getrag dogleg box and was wondering if there was any versions of BMW that had this box with a manual speedo drive instead of an electronic version so he could install it into his box?

Need the numbers and letters stamped into the edge of the bellhousing flange - NOT the casing cast numbers.

The 265 box can be conveted to a speeod drive, normally done when dropping them into an 02 OR E21. The drive hole is hole is blanked of, you need the parts from and 02 box, google for 02 dogleg conversions as there are a few sites giving the detail.
