Just a couple of questions...

Which models had an LSD as standard, and which had an LSD as a specifyable option? And in what years?

Also, what ratios do the standard LSD's come in?

Thanks chaps!

the M3 and M3 Evo had LSD's as standard. i believe the M3 is 3.15 and the Evo is 2.93 to dont take that as gospel

the 328i Sports had an LSD unless you specified you wanted ASC. If you did not have ASC, the LSD was 3.15

at least thats all that i can remember!!

hope that helps

Thanks Stu! 3.15 8O long ratio...

What LSD's/ratios from other BMW's may fit the E36? Thanks!

M3 Evo diff is a Typ 210 (7 Series size) which requires the whole rear axle. Other 6 cyl E36's use a Typ 188 which is the E30 325i-M3 diff in a different casing. Find an E30 or 525i/535i Sport (Post 1991) LSD and get a specialist to swap the LSD pack into the E36 diff.
