Hi, Can anyone help me please - I own a E36 320i SE, N Reg. I seem to have lack of power and the car is not accelerating and pulling like it should, it takes a long time for the revs to pick up. Personally I think there is a missfire somewhere, could anyone help me if they know anything else that it could be and why its happening?

Thanks
Dan

Get it plugged in and the fault codes read - otherwise you'll just be guessing and bolting expensive bits to it. Crank sensor, cam sensor, throttle switch, air mass meter, sticky vanos unit..................

Yep - but it could be anything!

My 320i has a weird idling problem showing up as a faulty throttle switch on the scanner - even though it's not. The voltage is fluctuating like a bastard so could be a dirty pin on the ECU connection.
