if its the same as the e46 I think its a dealer only affair, as the service interval is part of the coding on the ECU.

you can get the OBD type service reset tool from GSF and ECP, wont do condition based servicing on post 05 cars though
you can re-set these on the dash, but its complicated and possibly risky for a DIY'er as it involves envoking "test mode" on the cluster
