hello guys..
anyone know what stick i can use on my E39 to get short shift?
Its to the M52 and 5spd...
I know b&m has shortshift...but this is expensive compared to bmw's own shift's....i know i can use from another bmw but from model?...m3`?...or?

ive heard people using the z3 gear shift- but not sure how compatible it is to your car. someone will be along to confirm or deny this soon!

I'd of thought that the M5 shift would be shorter due to the sport nature of the car

m5 shift is a good idea. i just heard a lot of zoners talkin about the z3 one cos it seems to fit various bmw's

I've got a Z3 1.9 in my E34 M5 - should work in your car aswell.

Z3 is the safe option, and mostly used by BM owners.
There are many other makers out there, most are poor to be brutely honest.
UUC motorwerks are the daddies, but they tend to be on the steep side of the $$$'s
You could try one from this company.

yup yup...i ordered the Z3 shifter and got it today.mounted and fits like a glooove...
