Hi,

A mate of mine at work has a nice '89 635 csi Highline and he has got some autobox problems. He was wondering if anyone would know details of ECU for the kickdown ? He needs the part number etc.

Thanks
Mark.

Had a few of these, I had so I has told a normal problem with an "sport auti Box" the wiring loom goes throught the oil in the box, therefore after the car has done 100K the looms cook and you get kickdown probs, most good BMW indep will replace for a reasonable price. I had mine done for £150 but that was back in 1996.
Hope it helps
phil

Cheers Phil,

I think he found the info he wanted, has got an old 735i box lying about and thinks it may be the same part...

Cheers
Mark.
