e36 kidney

just got a new kidney for my e36 318is, does anyone no how to fit it?? The reason i ask is it is a tight squeeze to just force it in, so do i split the crome bit from the black plastic bit and then put it back together again? does anyone no? it looks a bit flimsey so dont want to break it... (the old one fell off)

Not sure but pick a nice hot day, plastic will be more flexible, judging by the weather, today could be a good time
