Hi Guys
I have a E34 touring with a Trans Program error message.
Anyone know of what checks i should be doing to resolve this?
RAC bloke said that there was no fuel getting to the engine and thought it could be the fuel pump relay but did not know which one it was.

Which E34 / gearbox is it?
I had that error on my 740, and it turned out to be a loose connection on one of the sensors on the box.

Q, on the output shaft these have a speed sensor, its external to the box so I'd suggest checking its not moved away from the rotor, they get distrubed when prop dougnuts are on the way out.
the trans prog error is slippage being detected in the gearbox, so its either on its way out, or as suggested above.
Either way, a proper diagnostic is the best way forward

Cheers Ant
The error is displayed prior to trying to start the car up if that helps.

Q, the link I sent you should help with this, always check/replace the pulse gen before condemning the gearbox.
