Found one on ebay apparen'tly 3.3ltr "Hallmark" Coupe, faster than a Porche or 635. I've always fancied a 635 so it has me intrigued, is he spouting B.S.???????

apparently, the 633 hallmark was made to alpina spec (b7 iirc) in all but name as by this point the 635 had come out and the company alpina were using for work (can't remember name) had some still in stock that not many people were gonna want to buy, so they converted them to aplina spec but kept all badging the same but dubbed it the hallmark edition adn apparently only sold them tot he uk market (probably all RHD sotck that they had left...hence struggling to sell them on)

apparently was a good engine and a standard 3.5 beater, as for porshce, who knows, dpendes on what lump in what giuse and in which chassis but woiuld still be ok though

if i were you i would be looking for lots of evidence of this being genuine and try and read up as much as possible on google, although typing bmw 633 hallmark gets loads of shite with about half a dozen decent pages on the subject

apparently there was also a total bmwarticle on it years ago? have to contact the publishers about that though, see if you can find the correct mag and then search for a back issue

hope that helps mate

:D I wasn't thinking about buying this one!!!!
It'll be in a few years time, I was just surprised by th claim it could beat a 635.

Yep the seats are provisionally sold - the cheque is in the post. Why are you interested?? Bit closer than where I'm going to have to post them to.

Hallmark BMW Specialists Maldon, Essex These two guys are ex bmw and you can tell!! Polite, helpful, make you feel welcome. I don't need to say more. QUALITY
Also:

Old fashioned really good service from two owners who really know BMWs. Example: AA brought me in at 8.30am with a failed alternator and flat battery, was asked to leave the car and phone later in the afternoon. Alternator arrived by 4.30pm, fitted by 6pm. All this at Ԛ£45/hr labour and no appointment! Fantastic, look no further.

Also:

Excellent service, good prices, fixed my overheating problem for nowt and replaced manifold gasket and sorted manifold studs well under the quoted price. Very helpful and friendly, most excellent coffee too!

Also:

Tried to use these, arranged to drop off car on sat am, arrived on time agreed, sat around like a prat for 45 minutes, no reply to phone calls no message on answerphone total mileage for trip 80miles for me and my lift same again! Can't in all honesty give any recommendation to this outfit regardless of other positive posts.CAVEAT EMPTOR!

TWR sold Alpina's before Sytners.
No way would a 6 series be quicker than a late '70's standard 911, let alone the turbo or RS.
The 924 turbo, (which came about the same time in the late '70's) hit 60 in 7.7 seconds - quicker than the article's quoted 8 seconds for the 633. All 928's hit 60 in under 7 seconds.
So, it's faster than a 2.0 924, which doesn't say that much

Thats the same engine that was put in our SA built 333i, BMW SA put that engine in the car because according to them it was a more revy engine than the 3.5. I still think a 635 would kick this ones ass, the 633 were fast but because of the weight it needed to have more torque. a 635 would be the way to go.

:) what changed ur mind?
Anyway i was also thinking about this, sometimes (funds permitting) it would be kinda cool to run a rare or less seen e30 model, like a nice clean 2 dr 323i.

Well I never intended this thread as I'm thinking about buying it, I've always fancied a 6 series and was just intrigued by this rarity I knew nothingabout. So I haven't really changed my mind.

I do quite fancy putting a V12 in one, really tune it up and then give a new 6 series a run for it's money!!

Hyperion if thats the same lump as used in the 333i mutant u guys got then that is a bmw/alpina developed engine

the 333i was your version of the 2.7 C2 we got in europe, i'd love an import 333i

any about? 200 made or so i've read

I've heard of a hallmark 6 but didn't know it was alpina like

yeah mate engine came straight out of a 733i, its a m30 engine not the m20. Our 325is have the 2.7 ltr alipina spec engines. And you right about them being rare. That would be a great car to get. i have seen 2 that were for sale, one silver and one henna red one, but buy the time i called the owners the cars were sold. :(
Another way to get the feeling of the rare 333i is do the conversion ur self but i think the M30 3.5 is they way to go :)
