It's a manual Maurice, fitted with a period 2.8 lump, just got to swap the diff and ditch the small case 4.10 that came with the original m10 engine

Yes it is, not as quick as the E30 with the m30b35 but still gets down the road alright

Ha Ha yeah, I noticed how it smelt oily so googled when I got home, inject diesel direct into exhaust manifold as I understand it?

I've had loads Rav when I was based in Germany including an M5 (wish I'd kept that one!!).
This one came up locally 99% complete and all the bodywork done so thought I'd treat myself
Still got the E30 which is still stripped waiting for a respray
