Smoke

Hi all,

330ci M Sport 53 plate 116K

I have had this girl now for about 5 weeks and all has been well until 8 days ago.

Up until then I had no issues at all but on the way home she started to smoke!!!!

The temperature gauge was good and I had no loss of power and being 1 mile from home I made it back OK.

Oil and water were checked and found to be good with no cross contamination and the next day(when the guy who I bought it from came to my house, ) it started as normal, gave a slight puff of smoke (blue/ish but not strong) and ran fine when he tested it with me and has run good until today.I had her serviced this Monday fully by my guy who has looked after my BMW`S for years , and when I arrived at work she had gone into the same mode again after 8 days.

The water and oil was checked yet again and all was well so I drove her home and after a mile or so , I had a clear exhaust .

I have been told about a valve/something that on the engine that has something to do with the emissions that could be at fault but to be very honest , I have not got a clue.............................

Help me out please guy`s,

Could this be a crankcase ventilation problem??

Google "cyclone valve" and "PCV".
