Guys anyone come across this on their e36.
For a while the cluster used to drop its dials and Come alive again!
Now it's just displaying pppppp and the speedo is approx 20mph out.
Have tried the reset holding the cluster button then turning key but nothing.
Has it had it or is their a part I can replace as have spare clusters.
It's a 98 Evo Vert.
Spare clusters are from a 96/99 323i Vert.
Any advice would be great.

Tried that and it does not rectify the problem. Hmm

Have swapped a the cluster with a 323i Cluster all works. but the the Evo has a oil temp and higher speedo reading plus mileage is incorrect.
Going to make a good one out of the 2 I guess. anyone done this before or is it a case of SI Board batteries like old E30/E24's that have gone in this case.
