is it the rust that lures Jim? Low miles?! A fairly plain boring 750, theres way better than that out there

The e32 is much, much easier on the eye.

That interior is probably the worst colour BMW ever did. No full contours either and a mundane spec. The 750 is a nice tool but a 740 is a must easier proposition.

I like a 38. One of the last good looking, properly built cars they did. but that wouldn't be a contender I'm afraid.

Right engine, right colour, right seats in the right hue. Shame about the mileage but not much of a worry.

Why would you want a 750i though? 13mpg, and 300bhp at best.

4L v8 a much better bet.

The 740i is a better engine, but the V12 is a magic thing, like a big turbine. Now they're down to council money........

How can ,,someone say that the V8 is a MUCH better engine,, vs V12......... is it ??

NOT AT ALL IMO... but there are some benefits and negatives on both engine vs each other

the V12 is bullitproof ,,, mechanical wise,, but the electronic is NOT...

the m62 is a very hot running engine,, and the plastic guide rail WILL CRACK,, after years,, the M62 is also a single chain.. vs M60 that is a double chain and in all respect a lot better engine,,

V12 have also single chain but the system is so simple ,, and it never fails.. M73 have roller rockers as the M43,, but M70 is like M40

Fuel economy.... to be honest the V8 have better economy,,, but not that much,,

both engines are great,,

but buying a 750 E38,, you will get SO MUCH more standard things in the car as the car is top of the line

for me ,, i would take the 750 all day,, i like the V12,,, but i do not hate the V8,, as we have seen so often,, about the v12 hate,,, just because,, hate

on papers the V12 have more power,, in real Just a tiny tiny,,, and sometimes the 740 wins in a sprint,, we had a test here in Iceland between a 740 with oem 3.15 diff,, and a 750 with swapped diff 3.15,,, oem 2.81 and the 750 smoked the 740,, badly,,, not occasionally,

so lining up these 2 cars is a no comparison except the driveline ,, etc etc is the same.. ratio plays the major rule on these heavy sledges

V12 have 4 more pistons,, and 8 fewer valves... so what to pick ???????

V12.. alvays,, just because it is a v12 and the others are not,, simple as that winkeye
