Yeah I picked it up last Saturday. It drives so well and the condition exceeded my expectations. Its a credit to CaserBob looking after it so well.

Thats a winner.
I'm currently looking into an E46 320D touring for my wife. But can't help think this would be a better option... well perhaps not the 328i (thinking of economy), but definitely an E36.
Looking forward to updates..

Overdue update. I noticed in traffic one day the smell of oil burning coming into the interior.
Suspect rocker cover gasket leak was confirmed when I looked around the engine.

So I ordered a rocker cover gasket set from Motormec and set about replacing it at the same time cleaning the the surfaces and the underside of the cover. These are the only pictures I had took.

Next job was to raise the rear of the car up. It is running H&R cup kit and the rear was too low. Any load would rub and grind on large speed humps. So I ordered a set of Eastern European rough road springs pads.
10mm vs 21.5mm

Looks much better now and has nice rake.

The next day I drove the car to Belgium.

Thats it for now. Next job is the body.

You'd have loved it before I replaced the springs and shocks! The rear was about 20mm lower than when you bought it! Leaky shock and broken springs.
Glad your enjoying it.
