Hey fellas, some advice needed.

I replaced the vanos seals on my 330ci with 126k miles 2 nights ago following the Beisan systems guide.

The original seals were totally shot, pistons literally fell out of the housing upon disassembly. Installation was fine and the engine is much more alive, and responsive.

Only issue is the VANOS seems to give a single 'knock' from the exhaust side when tapping the gas, as the revs initially go up and as they come down to idle. Plus it only when the engine is warm...

I've scanned it with INPA, no codes and the active data says everything is fine, also did a INPA leak down test on the VANOS pistons, working as they should be. Any ideas whats up with this could be? Or do the seals need a while to break in?

Perhaps theres an issues with the exhaust piston spring, clunking as it moves in and out when moving from idle to running.?
