I like how the title says "spares/repairs, E30 DRIFT" and he then goes on about how he doesnt want it to be broken up or used as an engine donor

Could be a nice car, shame about the tow bar and slip n slide seats, I get the impression its a lot worse than how its described :?

if it's the guy in spalding i think it could be then he is a bit of a tit, some of his old cars were truly epicly fucked up.
if it's got t*ts or wheels it's bound to be trouble...............prove me wrong.

I've been on the phone to him yesterday about it. I'm not sure about it, he reckons hes been offered £2000 for it from a breaker  He won't end the auction early and i think* he thinks its going to go for big money

Hes not used it for the past 3 years much and the tow bar was for pulling caravans, no wonder the SLS eventually died

As far as i can see its got a gearbox fault where it won't always go into gear, any gear he said and its random so there £££ there. SLS problem. Air con has never worked in his time. The sunroofs don't work. Hes never had the side skirts off and there is some scabs on the drivers wing, petrol flap area and rear arch.

I said could i look sat and take it home if i liked it and we sorted a price. He said no because he wants to let the auction run. I told him he WILL get pissed about

His name is Rob Steve, he claims hes got a X5 4.8iS for towing work now.

He also claims to know Dips and to have sold him an e30 he built. It had a V8 transplant and e30 M3 wings and arches fitted. I know dips and can't recall such a car?!

What i don't get is hes been pissed about already on ebay trying to sell his P38

Sounds like he knows he is selling a lemon and is hoping a blind ebayer will cough up regardless of condition

Something isn't quite right, i've been on the lookout for one of these. Problem seems to be they are all rubbish and the owners are deluded into thinking the values are higher than they really are. Seems to be a 540i problem on the whole when they're manuals

Please bear in mind I'm going back nearly 10 years & the name rings a bell,

If it is who I think it is he (was) a clown, had a 316i with fibre glass m3 arches, 3 skinny steel space savers & a no name alloy & dodgy tyres, allways getting pulled for driving round town like a tit (normally outside the pied Calf pub on a Saturday,

A mate of mine still lives round there so I'll have a word with him & see what he can find out.

Also, did he give you any idea what area of Spalding it's in??

Will see what my mate comes back with.

Problem is an E34 is a hell of a lot more money to repair than an E30 for example ever was, especially gear like this, peasant owners get their hands on them and consequently run them into the ground, whats the bet that box oil has never been changed since the current owner has had it?

Indeed it could, another 5k on top of the 2k sale price and you could have a lovely £2500 turd :) :(

So, possibly 7 grand to have a nice car. I wouldn't think twice if I wanted such a thing.
