Opinions on what size rims and tyres you would fit to a 330i touring.

Thanks

Maximum size recommended is 18's with a 225/40/18 front and 255/35/18 rear but they do ride better on 17's.

You can go as for as 19 but the ride suffers.

Ok, so if I go for 17's, what is the best tyre and size to fit?

225/45/17 on an 8J rim which is the standard size for a 330i. A 255/40/17 on an 8.5J rim at the rear if they are a staggered set.

good advice above. Try vredstein ultrac sessantas for tyres they really seem to suit the e46 well.

To be honest I am looking at Hankook K115 Ventus Prime 2.

At about £70 per corner they seem like a good option...

They look too old for and E46 and they are the wrong offset.

You can get split rim 17" style 5 in E36/E46 offsets but they are rare and and look a bit poo with hardly any dish.

Interesting, I could have sworn ours has 245 at the back... maybe I'm part of the "gape" scene by mistake! :)

Otherwise, 17s are plenty big enough if you value your spine/teeth/topmounts and have MTech innnit bitz.
E30 Touring 0.35 cD - more slippery than prison soap :)
