e46 window regulator question? one touch in motor or reg

got a y reg 318 saloon, drivers side regulator is finished, motors still working okay,

i emailed a guy on ebay he said the one touch comfort control feature and everything associated is only within the motor itself? not the regulator can anyone possibly confirm?

It has a four position switch and sends a different voltage to the GM (general module) which then operates the motor in either one touch comofort or how ever long you hold it for.

Not the motor or regulator.
