:thumb: Looks like a way ahead for BMW styling, after the retreat from the bangle stuff, they've been treading water / coming up with some really ugly messes. This has a certain M1ness about it too :)

Shit in silver. The only 2 colours for the i8 should be that dark sophisto grey and white. Absolutely stunning cars. I had a lad on the phone earlier tell me he didnt like them and it was one of the ugliest cars hed ever seen. I didnt have any words.

The BMW I8 and new Range Rover sport remind me of futuristic car styling from the 80's. So rather gimmicky.

Also notice the press photos are on modern urban backdrops, will these cars look a bit silly else where. Probably, but I like them. Nice to BM do something bold.

The photos blitz posted are the most stunning I have seen of the i8.

Like it or lump it the i8 is the future.

Wish BMW made a proper rival to the Audi R8 like a proper RWD, high revving NA, LSD, good looking screamer.

There was one at BMW Welt last week - I'll post that and others from the museum once I've got them off the camera. Must admit that having seen it in the flesh then I'm not entirely convinced but it's certainly more easy on the eye than the i3.

So here it is in the flesh. Works better from some angles than others. I'll leave you to make your own mind up on it, suffice to say there's a number of reasons why I won't be ordering one.

The i3 concept works better than the actual i3 we've ended up with. BMW have made some ugly cars (1 series, 5 series, 7 series, z4 maybe) that have got much better the more you look at them but the real i3 isn't one of them.

Image

Side view of the concept is much nicer than the real i3.

They were running around this as well, some german matey was recording some kind of film with it.

Can't remember what it said on the front plate - might have been hyundai or something.
