Thought I would post this in here as its mainly e36 chat :)
Im swapping an m50 2.5 into my e30 and using the e36 getrag box.. been looking around the internet for a nice reliable clutch and flywheel set up for the e36, Problem being prices vary ridiculously for what appears to be the same unbranded stuff..?

Okay So I turned my attention to ebay.. (I know) and found this little beauty! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/330920688317? ... 1423.l2649
At £250 its not pocket change but they have obviously sold some before with a decent feedback score!

The question I'm asking is has anyone got experience with this sort of thing through ebay as I know its very hard to trust that your not buying some taiwan shit that will fly appart lol

Cheers Guys

What's wrong with an M20 flywheel and clutch? Most people use them instead of the E36 one and don't seem to have issues.

sorry for the late reply don't get on alot.. I thought the m20 flywheel had to be ground down to miss the m50 sump? I dont personally know which will work best for me.. I'm relying on what other people are telling me.

Was only looking at e36 clutch and flywheel as the lump and box are both e36 and presumed it would make sense to stick with the e36 parts?

The cost of having an M20 flywheel machined (which will end up lighter) compared to the £250 flywheel on ebay will leave you with enough change to buy an M52B28 engine winkeye

My m20 flywheel is in the shop at the mo mate, paid less than £50 for flywheel and used good clutch kit, think its safer than buying unknown stuff.
M20 flywheel bolts are about £20 as just ordered mine.

Cheers guys. It was a whim thing.. Being unfamiliar with bmw's up to this point I just assumed sticking with e36 parts would be easiest route, but had some good advise + help from some zone guru's (: flywheel is provisionally taken care of (:
