Had a knock on the door today, a neighbour showed us this:

and

Sadly, there were no marks on the vehicle we thought had done it - so the cops had to let him go. It must have been some other massive artic lorry that left the tyre marks on the road within 6 inches of the E46. Because we get one or two a month going down that tiny lane....
Anyway, gotta suck it up and get it fixed. I can't see any point in claiming - does anyone know how much is involved to get this back on the road?

Cheers,

Put the mirror straight, pop the indicator back in and drive it?

Bad luck though :(
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

Well yeah, there is that. It'll need some crowbar action on the wing, I've got a serious case of stance clearance there now!

I think you're right. The headlight/indicator has gone back together and it all works, so that's a let off. It's about time the car had an alignment anyway so I'll get that done to be sure the front wheel didn't get clouted too hard.
Calming down now....

Still 99quid you could have spent on something else though.

Knobheid driver.

I was scrapped by a bus about 4weeks ago but the e30 suffered alot less damage thankfull so no write off and all repaired.

Replacement wing and mirror should be available readily from the bay.

Bummer though

OK, the mirror and wing are going on right now but the drive showed that the steering is off by 90 degrees. I'm looking at replacement wishbones on ECP. There are two versions, one for Sport suspension and one for non sport. Seeing as this car has Mtech bodykit, wheels and (woohoo) gearknob, I'm guessing it may have sport suspension, especially as it rides harder than my E30 on Eibach/B8s. Of course, it is possible that it was specced by some Carlos Fandago who just wanted the MTech Tat and not the good bits.

Is there a way to visually identify sport suspension on an E46?Was sport suspension available on a touring? If there's no way to tell, I'll have to bother the dealer for a build sheet, but that's more delay :/

Cheers folks.

well it doesn't matter now, she tracked up OK in the end. Rear camber seems quite high, possibly due to the LPG tank sitting in the boot.
Back on the road! what a bloody saga :/

Tracking Printout, if you're interested.
