Trying to diagnose a running problem on a friend 318ti. Runs pretty much perfectly while cool, maybe a touch rich going by the smell but revs cleanly and idles well until it gets hot where it overfuels like mad.
Checked the blue temperature sensor on Sunday and that's reading fine (I'm going up with tools to get at the ecu plug tonight to make sure there isn't a break on the wiring but I doubt this).
When it was running on Sunday I noticed it has a slight blow in the exhaust, this got me thinking there might be a crack in the manifold before the lamda sensor and air is getting in, also the crack could be getting bigger when the manifold heats up causing it to run even worse.
Sound plausible or should I look elsewhere?

Well, if there is a leak at that point it will suck rather than blow, does it make an odd ticking noise from the crack?
