Goin to look at a 1995 n reg 328,it has done 120,000 miles,i have heard that bmw put a tab on the engine block that has been recalled,is this true and where would it be located?thanks.

This is the blanking plate which identifies the blocks as having steel liners

Its pretty much irrelevant now though, even steel liner blocks can have reduced compression, especially if theyve been run by mongs who leave them in limp mode for years

Thanks dan but it doesnt matter now.....the car was the biggest pile of shit we have ever travelled 200 miles to see,it was in high wycomb aswell.
I have never seen a proper rusty e36 before now...fcuk me,there was no sills left on the coont,even when i asked the dude on the phone what was the body like,he said it was "mint".....
