Hi all,
I have a 318ti m-sport compact 1999.
All the reference tables say that the rear shocks are the same for all compacts except the m-sport but what I would love to know, is there any "physical difference " in stopping me fitting normal ones even if it were a stop gap measure?
Many thanks, Mart.

I would doubt there is a physical difference Mart, the sport ones will just have a different damping nature (firmer) and will be better placed to work with a slightly lower car.
But if the old ones had leaked out and stopped working properly, some normal replacements would probably be an improvement
