For Sale - An Iconic 1985 BMW M535i - Project

This particular car was bought by me with the intention of keeping it long term and getting it roadworthy. Before i bought the car, it was sat in a yard for approximately 4 years. Be under no illusion, this is a project car in need of restoration.
The below list details some of the work required:
- The engine fires up and run's, however it can start to missfire once it warms up.
- The oil cooler needs re-plumbing in, this is currently bypassed with a piece of hose
- There will be welding required to the battery tray and the lower area of the inner rear archs, amongst other areas. However, the Doors are in very good shape and the Cills & Floors are good. It is generally very solid. Not a complete rotter like so many E28's.
- The wheels and tyres are all knackered. Only really scrap worthy in my opinion.
- The previous owner painted it Matt Black. You can see on the photo's that i have experimented with sympathetically rubbing this paint off and bringing the original colour back. It seems that the car wasn't keyed before it was painted, so it will be possible to bring the old paint back. However this will be a large undertaking.
- Due to being sat for so long, the car obviously requires a full re-commission. A full service and brake / suspension overhaul to start off with.
