E36 alloys what other BMWs will they fit.

They will technically fit any other 5 std BMW EXCEPT an e39 5 series.
That said, offsets will be suitable to all.
But yes, they will physically fit stud pattern and hub diameter wise.

Depends which alloys, 17s should fit virtually all e46 and 1 series with an offset that's about right, smaller wheels won't fit the sporty versions with bigger brakes.
To fit e30 m3, e34 etc etc they'll need a 20mm spacer to sit right. They might bolt up ok without them, but might hit the brakes or strut.
And as above, the e39 has a larger centre bore than other bmws it some reason meanin you can fit e39 alloys on others with a spiggot ring, but to put oter bmw alloys on an e39 would mean getting the wheels machined, or a combined adaptor / spacer.
