BMW e34

Hi all
I have a friend that is going to scrap an n reg 325 e34 touring.
Is there anything worthwhile taking of the car to upgrade or improve my e30. engine? i read something about steering u.joints's . whole car is probably going go.
Please advise.

E34 steering ujs are useful for E46 rack conversion.
N reg is one of the last E34s?? The engine could be used for a 24v swap or if its knackered, the sump can be sold on for fitting E36 engines to E30s - the inlet and tb maybe also be of some use for the 2.8 M52 engine.

Your friend would make some money by selling at least those bits and then scrapping the rest. Don't forget to weigh the cat in separately from the car.

The inlet manifold, sump, oil pump pick up pipe and dipstick, cats and steering UJ will net you about £300-350 plus the scrap weight of the car is about £200.

What colour is it and where abouts in the country?

Thanks for the info. He breaks cars regularly but mainly taking the engines if they are diesels out and exporting them. This one is a auto and blue. I didn't check the colour code unfortunately. Its near chessington.surrey. whats the engine worth? It's a nice looking car. Nothing is wrong with it, just a trade in.
