I am doing the charity track weekend at RAF Marham this weekend so have got the old girl prepped and ready to go...

Luckily my boss is a car nut so he gave me today off to get it ready. Brakes, fluids, fuel filter, leaking tyres now all sorted. Gave her a quick wipe over too.

I have a few piccies from the days below, had an absolutely fantastic weekend. The weather, the people and the mix of cars was great. I took a chap round with a Holden HRS-R8 who was impressed with my car and after we got back and had a blast round in his Holden, then he let me have a go in it. Got to say it was almost sexual, that throbbing V8 and over 150 mph down the back straight. Got me pondering Monaros !

Anyway Sunday was a further treat for me when my mate Jamie let me take his track prepped E28 round for a few laps, with my mate Mark (who shares the driving of the M5) following in my car. Saw an indicated 160 down the straight and it was just awesome, that thing flies. Mark also reported how good my car was, saying it was a lovely setup with a nice balance, which was nice to here.

Aside from that my car went really well again, a little lacking in pace down the straight, best I saw was around 135 indicated which translated to 130 on the GPS. But round the twisties the old girl did great for a barge :)

No Andy that didn't go on track, it was the same people who had the track prepped DB7, he owns several Astons apparently.

Burgers eaten out of camera shot !!!

Guy in the white e28 was lapping quick. Sorry, don't know his name but seen him on the five forum. just love the way theres so few revs, just let the torque do it all as it dispatches the MX's and hatches to one side.

Good vids Mark.

Trev it's Jamie (and Mark) in the white M5. I drove the M5 on the Sunday and it's bloody quick as it is stripped out and on slicks ! Totally different to mine as it flies to the red line, not much happens with the M535i after 5.5k more about torque as you say.
