330ci gear box oil change questions. --?

My 330ci sport autobox seems a little sluggish at times, it's done 100k but still changes smoothly, just a little slower than it used to.

Would an oil change quicken things up?
There's a big sticker on the sump pan that says lifetime oil - no oil change. Am I likely to introduce problems if I change the oil?

What oil can I put in there and what capacity is the sump?

Not changing the oil is what shags these..
I believe BMW have since changed their "lifetime" oil policy to 100,000 mile intervals.

Still to long for me, 50,000 is when my autobox oil/filter gets changed

Basically, you need fully synthetic ATF, a new filter and a sump gasket, 6-7 litres usually

yeah you can only get it from bmw I think its very dear

Nope you can get the correct stuff from ECP - it is expensive though - between £7 - £10 per litre depending what discount you can get.

You need to know what box is actually fitted to your car first though.

Job done guys,

The oil required for the A5S 325Z (ZF 5HP-19) gearbox is 'LT 71141' Esso, Shell and Mobil all make it, about £9.50 - £10.50 per liter.

It's done and shifting like a new gearbox.!
