Someone who lives around the corner from me has an e28 which has been sat on their drive without moving for around 3 years I think. I've been thinking about knocking on the door and offering to buy it, but I have no idea how much it'd be worth? Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

Unless it's a good shell and you want it, I'd offer him 100 quid for the engine. The bottom end is what you need to build an M20 2.7

Yeah I've thought about using the engine as I have a 320. I'd quite like it to tidy up and drive really. Got to be worth a few hundred, no? Depending on rot obviously.

The diff should be E30 type 3.07 ratio, good for 24v swappers.

It's just an E30 for grown-ups...
Do the usual rust hunt etc and if it doesn't need welded in a million places give him a few hundred quid for it.
Expect to need to overhaul the brakes, maybe even new master cylinder. But as long as it's not rotten, it'll come back from the brink just fine..

The e30 robbed me off my youth!
But then what can you expect when it was designed by ford engineers!
I believe the industry term for that situation is "icky"
