My Missus has an E46 as per the title and currently has Potenza 225/40/18 90Y on the front and Bridgestone 255/35/18 90Y on the back, but all 4 are running low and need replacing.

I'm looking to spend between £100 to £150 a corner max.

Anyone got any tips on what to replace them with?

FFS Baz, its a 318 not a M3 innit ! :)

Kumho/ Toyo/ Hankook/ Falken/Uniroyal or any of the middle of the road tyres will be more than adequate for a 318

I have just bought a taxed and tested 318CI for £300 so think long and hard before dropping £600 on a set of tyres for one !

PS I would serve the 18s to a council type and fit some nice kerb and budget friendly 16" seven spokes and marvel at how well it rides and drives and how much money you have left in your pocket ! :)

Don't tell me Pete, you just happen to have some mint 16's going cheap... :D

Plenty of food for thought there fellas, thanks very much.

PS, Pete if I ever get round to getting the Cabby from Russ Taylor, I will take those rear headrests we've talked about before.

Finally got round to ordering the rear tyres, got 2 Toyo Proxes for £240 from Camskill. They were miles cheaper than anywhere else I found.
