Is there anything special about these?

I have spent the last 20 mins poking the drivers side with various bits of wire to no avail.

There appears to be 2 sets of wires going to it as well

Car is a 52 plate 325i SE

Ta in advance

Normally were the washer pump goes there is rubber grommit which has a filter ,which tends to get blocked up. I'll advise on removing the washer pump and clearing the rubbish from the rubber grommet. Also drain the tank and put fresh water and screen wash at the same time

Normally the above procedure is when both jets are blocked.

Does it have the white one-way valves attached to the nozzles ? If so these will almost certainly be the culprit if the pump is still running - had this problem on my last E36 - one washer nozzle packed up and the other followed it about a week later.

You can get away with removing the valves and connect the washer hose directly to the nozzles. The valves are there for a reason but the system will work without them

IIRC they are silly money for what they are from BMW though

They usually get blocked through lack of screen wash additive in the washer bottle, fungus/algae grows and then gets trapped in the valves. Never failed to unblock one with 150psi yet :D

Same. Amazing how much black gunk has come out of some before. It usually works better blowing through the jets rather than through the back end, but it's worth going both ways, along with having a poke with some wire.

If you can take the jet off without loosing the wiring and plumbing in the bonnet you could take it to a garage and ask them to have a go.

Ta,

tis only the drivers side that is blocked. No white crappy one valves, all are black. no leaks inside the bonnet, windscreen wash is always well additivised.

Will have a play this coming weekend.
