Project Drift

96 328 sport

Hi guys not been on here in a while just brought my first e36 , after having stored my e30 for winter.

e36 328i sport with lsd 1996 single vanos

Clutch started slipping so i'm going for a solid flywheel conversion.

Parts I think i'll need

m20 flywheel, skimmed
m20 clutch and pressure plate
e21 323 30mm clutch bearing

z3 2.8 shifter or z3 1.9 not sure.

I've got a e30 318is m42 gear box and the orignal m52

Comments and advise would be appreciated [/img]

You need to drag the direct links over from your photobucket/imageshack, then put
either side of it.

Needs resizing, when you upload to imageshack you can choose what size you want it to be.

Bargain 8)

Use the original M52 box as its stronger plus its a direct 5th so it will be easier to choose readily available E36 diff ratio's
You could use the M42 box but you will need a diff ratio of around 3.91 otherwise with the diff you got on it it will make the car feel sluggish.
Car would hit 200mph though if you could get it to the limiter. :) the diff you have on the car should be a 2.93 ratio.

I just got a 318is gear box lying around , just wondered which would be best.

Yes the car was left for two years , he wanted 500 but I got him down to 325 :D

Welding on rear jacking points, washer jets and front pads got it thought the mot.

Just brought m20 flywheel convesion kit
e30 m3 front lower arm bushes
coilover top mounts
z3 shifter
remap ecu
m50 manifold
de cat pipe
735is front brembos
