This looks like a nice car - well maintained, clean, and straight. Should make a nice buy for somebody

Looks nice but looking at the return lip on the arches? Looks like they've seen work.
Don't like red. Don't like the interior. Sorry Mo!
As Si says, Daytona is where it's at with these. Dakar is just council.

Not for a long time . Prices are as low now as they are likely to go and as the remaining sh1t gets run into the ground / fragged and the numbers dwindle the price of the few remaining nice cars will rise.capnmchl wrote:How long till these start creeping up to E30 prices? Reckon they will?
I would not be rushing out to buy one just yet thinking you would be doubling your money any time soon.
The main issues preventing the E36 M3 from soaring in value anytime soon are that they were built in huge numbers, less salubrious areas are still awash with loads of 'lesser' but similar E36s and very significantly , they do not have any 'competiion' history.

Pete is bang on the money there, all the old homologation based cars have soared in value over the last 10 years. E30 M3's, MB Evos, R5 Turbo 2's Delta Integrales etc etc.they do not have any 'competiion' history
Not much since the mid to late nineties has mached these cars in rareity and rising value. Even the first gen focus RS which was limited numbers and has a huge ford fan base has not had the values that quite a few prospectors hoped they would be.
99% of the time I see E36 M3's being driven its usually some scumbag driving it with lexus lights, a stupid drop and bawbag exhaust, which will never help the cars reputation or prices.

E36 M3's did see competition use in the states and europe.
There were a couple of variants of the E36 M3 that were homologation specials.

The E36 M3 I like is the E36 M3 Evolution Imola Red Coupe ....
The M3 CSL has no competition history and look at their prices.
BMW Hexagon of Highgate flogged a M3 CSL for around £40k recently and now have two more in stock at similar price level ....

Haha, I'm not interested in investing, I just like a bargain.
I guess you're right. It's not like C36's, or S4's are worth all that much either.
