Its a horrid convertible conversion from a saloon, by the looks of it, a lowly 1502. They never looked right, we had to wait until the E30 full convertible to get what we wanted.
Still a shame.

Not entirely true: there was a full '02 convertible but they are very rare.Z3I wrote:They never looked right, we had to wait until the E30 full convertible to get what we wanted.

Yes, that was the 1600 convertible if I remember right, a car that was slated for its lack of rigidity, making it a nightmare to drive, and BMW dropped it quite quikly in the late sixties. The Baur conversion of course replaced it, and was a fair solution. This was my car from 1990 to 2007, wish I still had it!inlovewithRWD wrote:Not entirely true: there was a full '02 convertible but they are very rare.Z3I wrote:They never looked right, we had to wait until the E30 full convertible to get what we wanted.

They'd better be sharp recovering the '02, I wouldn't be surprised if the owners of the car park are looking to get rid of it by now.
